On 12 February 2022, elections are scheduled to hold for the six area councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT): Abaji, Abuja Municipal, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, and Kwali Area Councils. The Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC, aka Abuja) is of particular significance due to factors such as its location, voter population, and economy.
