Home » PROGRAMMES » GOVERNING THE ELECTORAL PROCESS (GEP)
Governing the electoral process involves monitoring the whole electoral process for improvements, innovation and promotion of the integrity of the process as well as the institutions of the electoral process – INEC. It includes examining how far and well/effectively INEC has taken and implemented recommendations and lessons from previous elections, both internally from its own reviews and externally from CSO reviews, election support agency reviews, and political party reviews.
Part of our work under this programme is to carry out research on electoral reform and electoral offences. This is aimed at educating people about electoral laws and reforms, contributing to advocacy on electoral reform, raising awareness about electoral offences and offenders, and deterring people from engaging in electoral offences.
Our governing the electoral process programme will also be done via The Electoral Forum activities and interventions
